Victrola has announced the Soundstage, an active speaker designed to fit beneath a turntable while limiting vibrations that could interfere with vinyl playback. Debuted at CES 2026, the compact system supports both Bluetooth and wired audio sources and will be offered in black and walnut finishes.
A Speaker Designed Around Vinyl Playback
Placing a conventional speaker close to a record player can create practical problems. Low-frequency energy may travel through furniture and into the turntable, potentially reaching the stylus and contributing to feedback or distortion. Victrola has developed the Soundstage specifically with this type of installation in mind.
Its low-profile enclosure allows the speaker to sit directly beneath a turntable, creating a compact record-playing system without requiring separate speakers on stands or shelves. Although it is designed to complement Victrola turntables, the Soundstage is not restricted to the company’s own models and can be used with other record players and audio components.
The enclosure, driver arrangement and vibration-control system were developed together. Victrola says this integrated approach is intended to preserve turntable stability while still allowing the speaker to deliver substantial low-frequency output. The Soundstage can also operate as a standalone active speaker when under-turntable placement is not required.

Symmetric Drive Woofer Manages Low Frequencies
Bass is produced by a downward-firing Symmetric Drive Woofer, or SDW. This unit uses a dual-diaphragm configuration intended to generate low frequencies while reducing unwanted mechanical vibration from the speaker cabinet.
Rear-facing ports direct bass energy away from the turntable. Combined with the vibration-damping enclosure, this arrangement is intended to reduce the amount of low-frequency energy reaching the record player positioned above it.
The design addresses one of the central challenges of combining a loudspeaker and turntable within the same compact footprint: producing useful bass without allowing the speaker’s movement to disrupt the stylus as it tracks a record groove.
Forward-Facing Radiators Provide Wider Coverage
The Soundstage uses forward-facing Balanced Mode Radiators for midrange and high-frequency reproduction. Victrola says these BMR drivers are designed to distribute sound across a broad area and create a wide stereo presentation throughout the room.
This driver layout separates the main frequency duties by direction: the woofer fires downward, the ports face rearward, and the BMR units project forward. The configuration is designed to support room-filling playback while managing how bass energy interacts with the turntable and surrounding furniture.
Because the amplification and speaker drivers are contained in one enclosure, the Soundstage offers an alternative to a conventional two-speaker vinyl system. Its intended positioning could also suit installations where space beside a turntable is limited.

Bluetooth and Wired Source Options
Music can be sent to the Soundstage wirelessly over Bluetooth or through a wired connection. That flexibility allows it to handle vinyl playback as well as compatible wireless devices and other cable-connected audio sources.
Victrola has not positioned the Soundstage solely as an accessory for one particular turntable. Its support for multiple source types means it can serve as the central speaker in a compact audio setup, whether the listener is playing records or streaming from a Bluetooth device.

Finishes and European Availability
The Victrola Soundstage will be available in two versions. Buyers can choose an all-black finish or a model decorated with walnut wood, providing options for both contemporary and more traditional turntable setups.
European availability is scheduled to begin on October 1, 2026. Victrola has not provided a USD price in the supplied announcement.
With its under-turntable form, specialized woofer arrangement and integrated vibration management, the Victrola Soundstage offers a space-conscious approach to building a vinyl system without separate loudspeaker cabinets.
