Audio-Technica AT-LP8x

Drawing inspiration from the iconic AT models of the 1960s and 70s, this J-shaped aluminum turntable tonearm incorporates a modern Audio-Technica AT-LT10 body paired with an AT-VM95E BK (black) cartridge. The cartridge features a 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical stylus, ensuring exceptional channel separation and minimal distortion for outstanding sound quality. For convenient setup, the stylus can be swapped out with any of five additional +VM95 styli. Additionally, the arm’s vertical tilt adjustment and increased weight facilitate compatibility with a diverse array of other cartridges.

The Audio-Technica AT-LP8X is capable of playing records at speeds of 33-1/3, 45, and 78 rpm. It features a 25mm anti-resonance die-cast aluminum platter, which is topped with a 2.5mm thick rubber layer and includes a rubber mat. The platter is driven by a sensor-controlled motor that guarantees consistent and accurate rotation speed. This motor, along with its efficient internal switching power supply, is integrated into a box-shaped plinth constructed from 16mm thick MDF (medium density fiberboard) and is fitted with height-adjustable feet to effectively minimize noise and vibration interference.

The Audio-Technica AT-LP8X turntable features an automatic tonearm lift at the conclusion of a record, along with a motor that halts operation—an uncommon attribute for direct-drive turntables. This functionality allows you to enjoy your music in a leisurely setting without the concern of the record finishing unexpectedly. Additionally, the turntable is equipped with an AT-VM95E cartridge, which is compatible with any replacement stylus from the Audio-Technica VM95 series. This compatibility facilitates experimentation with various stylus profiles, enabling upgrades to higher-quality options for enhanced sound or the ability to switch to the AT-VMN95SP stylus for 78 rpm records.

The turntable features a sturdy MDF base, adjustable feet, and a thick die-cast aluminum anti-resonance plate equipped with a rubber damper, all designed to minimize unwanted noise and vibrations. This ensures that you can appreciate every nuance of your music. Additionally, the turntable includes a detachable RCA output cable (dual RCA to dual RCA with ground), a 45 RPM adapter, and a removable hinged dust cover.
