Gustard S26 is an innovative network player engineered for high-fidelity audio playback, achieved through meticulous optimization of its components. Every detail of the device, including the cooling system and power circuit, has been carefully designed to reduce noise and jitter, thereby ensuring reliable performance.
The S26 is equipped with a Ryzen 5 5600U processor featuring Zen 3 architecture, comprising six cores and twelve threads. It operates at a base frequency of 2.3 GHz, with the capability to reach up to 4.2 GHz in Turbo mode, providing efficient and seamless system performance.
A cooling system utilizing copper tubing is implemented for quiet operation. This method efficiently transfers heat away and minimizes mechanical vibrations and electromagnetic interference commonly associated with fan systems.
The S26 features an integrated 1 TB NVMe SSD, ensuring rapid access to data. The inclusion of DDR4 RAM enhances operational speed. For those needing additional storage, the device allows for the installation of an NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD, supporting capacities of up to 4 TB (sold separately).
The power supply unit incorporates a toroidal transformer crafted from oxygen-free copper, rated at 120 VA. The current flows through a dual bridge rectifier capable of handling voltages up to 800 V and a maximum current of 25 A. Furthermore, it includes surge protection for voltage spikes reaching up to 400 A. Capacitors totaling 40,800 μF are employed to stabilize the power supply, effectively reducing interference.
The power supply for each module is structured through separate circuits equipped with low-noise voltage stabilizers, ensuring that the interference level does not exceed 5 μV.
For accurate signal synchronization, the internal GCLK-02 system is employed. This module produces a unified clock signal for PCIe, network interfaces, and USB, guaranteeing reliable performance. The phase-locked frequency control achieves a precision of 1 Hz, resulting in exceptional accuracy. Additionally, there is a BNC input with a 50 Ohm impedance for connecting an external 10 MHz generator.
The S26 is compatible with Roon Core and UPnP Server, allowing for seamless integration into various systems and supporting services such as Spotify Connect, Apple AirPlay, and QQ Music.
