The Wharfedale Aura 4 floor-standing three-way speakers are the largest model in their series. These speakers are capable of providing high-quality sound in a large room. The model is completely universal both in terms of listening to music of various genres and in terms of the possibility of using it not only in stereo systems, but also in a home theater.

The Wharfedale Aura 4 cabinets have sloping side walls, and their front panel is wider than the back. This, combined with internal braces and damping, made it possible to obtain an acoustically inert design that is resistant to vibrations and resonances. Even at high volumes, the Wharfedale Aura 4 will not color the sound, and, despite its size, will practically dissolve in the stereo image. To give the speakers the necessary stability, their supports are located outside the base area.

The model is made in a three-band configuration. Low frequencies in the Wharfedale Aura 4 are reproduced by two bass speakers with a diameter of 150 mm. Their diffusers are made of Kevlar and fixed on wide flexible suspensions to provide piston movement with a large amplitude. The bass speakers are mounted on non-resonant cast baskets and are equipped with a powerful magnetic system. The midrange speaker in the Wharfedale Aura 4 is unusual. It has a dome with a diameter of 100 mm and is mounted in a sound duct, the walls of which are made of soft polymer to dampen unwanted vibrations. The sound of vocals and acoustic recordings through this acoustics impresses with precision and balance and will certainly not leave even the most experienced music lovers indifferent.

The AMT ribbon tweeter installed in the Wharfedale Aura 4 is traditionally used by the company in its high-end acoustics. It has an extended directivity pattern, which ensures the construction of an impressive stereo image perceived from almost anywhere in the listening room. The speakers use a crossover made of selected components. The crossover is the heart of any acoustic system, so special attention was paid to its configuration. Thanks to the precise division of the frequency band and the coordination of the acoustic characteristics of each driver, the Wharfedale Aura 4 acoustics provide a precise seamless transition between the emitters. The crossover is located on a separate board to minimize electromagnetic interference, and is carefully tested for acoustic transparency.

Wharfedale Aura 4 is equipped with a proprietary slotted bass reflex, the outlet of which is brought out into the cavity at the bottom of the speaker. Thus, the distribution of bass occurs in all directions, which largely eliminates the influence of the room on the quality of low frequencies. The sloping side panels of the case, as well as the fact that its front panel is wider than the back, provide for the damping of resonances and vibrations that can color the sound. Two pairs of screw terminals are used to connect to the amplifier in the model.
