TOPPING has released the DX3 Pro+ model , this multifunctional device can be used as a Bluetooth 5.0 receiver, supporting the LDAC codec. The DX3 Pro+ can also be used as a DAC, preamp or headphone amplifier.
Thanks to the ES9038Q2M conversion chip and the XMOS XU208 USB interface, it achieves particularly accurate and vivid sound reproduction.
ESS ES9038Q2M DAC
The DX3Pro+ digital-to-analog conversion stage is based on the ES9038Q2M DAC chip from ESS. It comes with superior performance and benefits from the advanced optimization done by the brand to improve efficiency. Thus, the DAC is capable of providing a THD+N of 0.00015%.
USB XMOS XU208 USB interface
In addition to this ES9038Q2M DAC chip, there is a second generation 8-core XMOS XU208 USB interface, which is responsible for processing data transmitted via the USB input. It provides support for high-resolution audio streams, specifically PCM up to 32-bit 768 kHz and DSD up to DSD512. This chip also provides excellent compatibility with most systems, whether the device is running Windows 10, Mac OS, Linux, iOS or Android.
QCC5125 and Bluetooth 5.0
Bluetooth 5.0 signal reception in the DX3Pro+ is provided by the QCC5125 chip developed by Qualcomm. This allows the DX3Pro+ to benefit from Hi-Res Wireless certification with support for high-quality transmission codecs such as aptX, aptX LL, aptX HD and LDAC.
For even higher performance, this Bluetooth input is directly coupled to the ES9038Q2M DAC to decode the audio stream.
