Hervé Delétraz, the founder and owner of the renowned Swiss company darTZeel Audio, has issued a statement regarding a shift in the direction of the company. There is no cause for concern—darTZeel Audio will maintain its commitment to producing high-end audio equipment and will not transition to wireless headphones or portable speakers. However, an expansion of the product lineup is highly probable.
Hervé Delétraz expressed the following thoughts: “For those who are interested in this subject, the situation is quite straightforward: the extreme high-end market has faced significant challenges in recent years, leading to the closure of numerous esteemed brands (though many have fortunately managed to reopen) due to various factors, of which I will highlight a few. The unpredictable global economic and political climate has shifted focus away from entertainment. More importantly, there is a relentless competition to produce the most expensive products, with claims of superiority, while simultaneously offering substantial discounts to consumers. This extreme high-end market, which was initially dedicated to providing music enthusiasts with the finest sound quality, has now transformed into a mass market reminiscent of the souks in Marrakech—an environment I personally appreciate for different reasons—where the primary focus has shifted to achieving the largest discounts. This trend, while not entirely new, is currently undermining the extreme high-end audio sector and jeopardizing the industry.”
I, Hervé Delétraz, founder and creator of the darTZeel brand , have decided that this business model no longer fits my vision of Extreme High End . However, the darTZeel brand will not only continue to exist, but will change its paradigm, focusing on new concepts that will remain undisclosed for obvious reasons.
It is important for to be aware of the following information:
– darTZeel is more alive than ever and the level of customer service remains unchanged
– current production of the NHB , CTH and LHC component series will now be made to order only
– For existing customers: It is strongly recommended that you do not sell your darTZeel equipment on AudiogoN or anywhere else, as owning darTZeel products is an investment from now on
– a new line of components aimed at a wider audience is currently being prepared. Stay tuned!
– darTZeel audio equipment is made in Geneva to last forever. Period.”
