The ESS9038K2M chip from Saber is used as a digital-to-analog converter. A high-precision system designed for signal reclocking helps to effectively combat jitter. A linear-phase Bessel filter is installed at the output of the player, which allows you to obtain high-quality sound with a minimum of distortion. The Arcam CDS50 power supply is specially designed for high sound performance. The DAC circuits, analog audio circuits and CD drive received separate discrete stabilized power supplies. As a result, the degree of their negative influence on each other decreases and the amount of interference and noise decreases.

The Arcam CDS50 player supports UPnP and CIFS protocols, has a LAN interface and a built-in Wi-Fi circuit, which allows it to work with audio content stored on servers or computers on the local network. File playback is available in resolutions up to 24 bit/192 kHz. You can control the player using the Arcam MusicLife application for iOS devices.

The case features excellent damping and helps protect internal sensitive electronic components from vibration. The high-precision CD drive is installed on the left side of the case; accordingly, its tray occupies the left side of the player’s front panel. Next to it is a two-line FL display with green symbols large enough to be read from a long distance. Four control buttons, including a tray release button, are located on the right side of the panel. There is also a power/standby key. The player is equipped with the following inputs: a USB port for external drives and a LAN interface. Outputs: balanced XLR, unbalanced RCA, coaxial, optical. The RS-232 interface is designed to control Arcam CDS50 using complex computer systems. This model has a connector for an IR receiver, a trigger input and a socket for the included Wi-Fi antenna.
