HIFIMAN EF600: Balanced R2R headphone amplifier with aptX HD and LDAC support

An amazingly original, powerful and practical product, HifiMan ‘s EF600 takes on the roles of a balanced headphone amplifier, R2R DAC and headphone stand. Thus, in addition to providing a high quality headphone listening experience, it saves significant space, making it ideal for installation in an office, for example.

Unlike many DACs on the market that use delta-sigma D/A conversion chips, the EF600 prefers to use the R2R ladder conversion method. This special approach uses a network of high-precision resistors for musical, live and clear listening.

Wirelessly connect a source such as a smartphone or tablet directly to the EF600 via its Bluetooth receiver. Stream and control your music remotely, and take advantage of aptX HD and LDAC high-definition transmission codecs for accurate audio reproduction.

For both input and output, the HifiMan EF600 offers balanced and single-ended connections. So, on the input side, in addition to digital connections in coaxial format, USB-C and USB-B, the device offers balanced XLR and single-ended RCA. Likewise, for outputs, the EF600 provides 4-pin balanced XLR and 6.35mm unbalanced Jack for headphone output, and balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA for line-level output.

With no less than 5W into 32Ω (balanced) per channel, HiFiMan is not short on power. Therefore, it easily accompanies the vast majority of headphones, including the most demanding high-impedance models.
