FiiO has unveiled its latest top-of-the-line in-ear monitors, the FiiO FH19, equipped with two dynamic and six balanced armature drivers. FiiO collaborated with Tokyo Onkyo Co. Ltd. to create a new Push-pull Dual Dynamic Driver unit for handling the bass range. The mids and highs in the FH19 are produced by specially designed balanced armature (BA) drivers from Knowles.
The FiiO FH19 headphones utilize a Push-pull Dual Dynamic Driver unit, which consists of two dynamic drivers with 13.7mm PU+DLC composite diaphragms arranged in an opposing configuration to achieve phase matching and mutual air damping. Additionally, the headphones feature “Turbine Low-Pass Boost Technology” to effectively filter out low frequencies.
The FiiO FH19 headphones utilize a four-way configuration for their design. In terms of midrange, the FiiO FH19 employs an innovative acoustic scheme featuring “3 + 1” armature drivers. Additionally, a special resonant cavity is incorporated to enable two separately controlled midrange zones, ultimately delivering a more immersive and emotionally engaging midrange experience.
The FiiO FH19 headphones are designed with a semi-open structure that utilizes exclusive balanced pressure relief technology in the front and back chambers of the ear cups. This technology effectively alleviates pressure on the eardrum, ensuring a comfortable listening experience for extended periods.
The FiiO FH19 headphones are designed with a titanium core and a housing made from 7000 series aerospace aluminum, providing both durability and a lightweight feel. They include three sets of interchangeable audio filters, each offering unique internal damping and mesh density options. This allows users to tailor the sound of the FH19 to their individual tastes. The red filter enhances low frequencies for a robust bass experience, the black filter offers a well-balanced sound that is clear and precise, while the green filter accentuates the intricacies and clarity of high-frequency sounds.
The FiiO FH19 in-ear headphones feature a high-purity silver cable composed of 8 conductors, each containing 28 cores, totaling 224 cores. Each individual wire is insulated and twisted using a Litz design. The cable is encased in a transparent TPU jacket, which effectively resists yellowing over time and retains flexibility even in colder temperatures. The FiiO FH19 is equipped with two interchangeable twist-lock plugs: a 3.5mm single-ended plug and a 4.4mm balanced plug, making it compatible with a variety of audio devices such as portable digital audio players (DAPs), headphone amplifiers, and computers. Additionally, to provide an optimal fit and enhance the listening experience, the package includes 22 pairs of ear tips in different sizes, featuring SpinFit, Foam, Balanced, and Dual Flange options.
The FiiO FH 19 in-ear hybrid earphones will be available in August 2024 with a suggested retail price of $599.
