Audeze has unveiled its latest headphone model, the CRBN2, further enhancing its lineup of electrostatic headphones. This new addition incorporates cutting-edge technologies, including the patented Symmetric Linear Acoustic Modulator (SLAM) technology, designed to enhance bass performance.
The CRBN2 utilizes the second generation of Audeze’s carbon nanotube electrostatic drivers, engineered for exceptional sound accuracy. This driver technology ensures a high degree of clarity in the audio output while optimizing pressure distribution across the entire membrane. The newly implemented SLAM technology focuses on boosting low frequencies while maintaining clarity and distortion-free reproduction.
The CRBN2 not only showcases impressive audio advancements but also stands out with its design. These headphones are lightweight yet durable, crafted from premium materials. The ear cups feature an ergonomic design with plush padding, providing exceptional comfort for extended use. Additionally, the flexible headband adjusts seamlessly to accommodate various head sizes.
The incorporation of carbon fiber materials is especially significant, enhancing both the strength and lightweight nature of the headphones. This design not only bolsters stability but also reduces unwanted vibrations, resulting in clearer and more authentic sound reproduction.
The sophisticated headphones also feature low distortion, which is especially beneficial at elevated volumes. This quality guarantees that the headphones maintain clarity and precision, even when playing complex musical compositions with significant dynamic variations.
Availability and price
The Audeze CRBN2 will be available from October 2024 and is priced at $5,995.
