The German company Zellaton presented dynamic heads with new diffusers Zellaton Ultra , which were the result of many years of research and absorbed the latest technologies of the Bavarian company. The new Zellaton Ultra diffusers combine the positive properties of different materials used in their construction.
The surface structure of the Zellaton Ultra diffuser is created on the principles of bionics, that is, the use of natural surface structures to achieve optimal solutions. This allows us to solve the fundamental problem of sound propagation in a conventional cone diffuser – the applied impulse causes the generated sound wave to propagate both along the axis of the speaker and along the surface of the diffuser, which causes it to bend.
The new unique structure of the Zellaton Ultra diffuser effectively prevents the propagation of sound waves along the surface of the diffuser and, at the same time, significantly increases its rigidity.
Another significant difference from most cone drivers on the market is that special embossing allows the sound wave to be emitted directly in the direction of the speaker axis, which allows for a natural sound image.
The new Zellaton Ultra diffuser retains the proven proprietary three-layer sandwich construction with all its advantages. It uses modern shock-absorbing high-tech foam with maximum tensile strength, and on the reverse side is paper with a special coating. The result is an extremely rigid diffuser with low vibration levels and maximum internal damping. Residual vibrations still present in the midrange cones are specially damped after assembly in a complex manual process.
New drivers with Zellaton Ultra diffusers will be available from December 8, 2023.
