T+A DAC 200 has a premium midi design and a nice arrow indicator. T+A DAC 200 is capable of working with ultra-high resolution files (DSD 1024 and PCM 32 bit / 768 kHz). Traditionally, for T+A, separate converters are responsible for this: for PCM – double symmetrical differential Double Differential Quadrable (four 32-bit Burr-Brown chips per channel), for DSD – T+A true 1-bit DSD. As usual, you can choose from proprietary filtering algorithms for synchronous oversampling with four settings: FIR short, FIR long, Bezier/IIR, Bezier and NOS (no oversampling). Full galvanic isolation is built on ultra-fast digital isolators from Silicon Lab and completely isolates the DAC from incoming noise. Digital and analogue paths inside the device are also separated.
The second generation De-Jitter system was developed in-house and is designed to eliminate timing and phase inaccuracies in digital data transmission. For this purpose, the engineers used a special PLL algorithm, and the key to efficiency was the use of precision clock generators that are multiples of the carrier frequencies: 44.1 kHz (up to 354.8 kHz) and 48 kHz (up to 762 kHz). As a result, you can be sure that the original digital signal will be flawlessly converted into music. The Class A preamplifier uses discrete high-voltage technology and features a dual-mono topology. Together with the relay volume control, they make the T+A DAC 200 a first-class preamplifier. The output signal is then sent to analog balanced XLR or RCA outputs.
The T+A DAC 200 has a built-in high-quality discrete headphone amplifier. They can be connected via a balanced (!) 4.4 mm Pentaconn output on the front panel. The amplifier operates in class A with a load of up to 200 mA (with a resistance of 6 ohms). The switching capabilities of the new T+A DAC 200 are impressive. Digital interfaces: asynchronous USB input; 2 coaxial and 2 optics; AES/EBU XLR; BNC; Optionally, you can install an HDMI audio module with two inputs of the same name and one HDMI (ARC) output. An analogue RCA input is provided. RCA and XLR outputs can be either fixed or variable.
As part of the 200 line, the T+A DAC 200 is designed to work with other devices in this series (the T+A A 200 amplifier and the T+A MP 200 digital audio player). For this purpose, service switching connectors are located on the rear panel.
