We have already talked in detail about the Rega Naia vinyl record player , first presented in February at The Bristol Hi-Fi Show held in the British city of Bristol , and shown at the High End Show in Munich in May. And finally, the new product moves from the category of exhibition exhibits to the category of goods – you can buy it!
The Rega Naia player uses solutions and technologies that were the result of many years of development to create the famous Naiad model, released in an edition of 50 copies and with a price tag of 30 thousand pounds sterling. Rega claims that Naia has taken the best from this development and transferred these solutions and technologies into a production-ready version.
The Rega Naia takes Rega’s low-mass, high-rigidity technology to the “next level” by using a graphene-infused carbon fiber frame with a proprietary Tancast 8 foam core.
This ultra-rigid structure is further strengthened by two ceramic aluminum oxide brackets, the same material used to create the ceramic platter with controlled resonance and improved flywheel effect.
The Rega Naia turntable has a UK RRP of £9,999 . With the optional Rega Aphelion 2 MC cartridge, the kit price rises to £12,500 .
Key features of the Rega Naia turntable include:
— Graphene-impregnated carbon fiber frame base with Tancast 8 foam core.
— ZTA support bearing made of hardened zirconium and ceramic
– RB Titanium Tonearm: Solid titanium vertical bearing and titanium vertical spindle assembly.
— Tungsten tonearm counterweight
— Ceramic upper and lower braces
– Improved external power supply
– Ceramic disc with controlled resonance and improved flywheel effect
— Lightweight aluminum legs.
