FiiO has announced the DM13, a portable CD player with modern features such as aptX HD Bluetooth, a balanced 4.4mm headphone output and USB audio. There is of course also a 3.5mm asymmetrical headphone output and outputs to connect the DM13 to an amplifier. FiiO will soon offer five colors to choose from.
Features
Featuring both a 3.5mm and 4.4mm headphone jack, FiiO’s DM13 is ideal for use with a wide range of headphones. FiiO has also added Bluetooth connectivity, allowing the DM13 to be used with wireless headphones.
Furthermore, an analogue line output and a digital output in the form of S/PDIF are placed. The DM13 can therefore also be used in combination with an amplifier or a set of active speakers. According to FiiO, the built-in battery has a capacity for eight hours of music enjoyment. The DM13 can also be used while it is on mains power.
Price
We haven’t heard pricing and shipping information yet, but the FiiO DM13 will reportedly be available in a silver finish starting in September, with more colors to follow later this year, including red, blue, titanium, and black.
