Denon DCD-1700NE: CD/SACD player designed to work with the PMA-1700NE amplifier

The new Denon DCD-1700NE CD/SACD player is designed to work in conjunction with the PMA-1700NE amplifier.

The DCD-1700NE reaffirms Denon’s commitment to physical music formats and promises high-resolution audio thanks to advanced AL32 Processing Plus algorithms and an ultra-precise DAC.

The latest Advanced AL32 Processing Plus analog waveform reproduction technology uses data interpolation, upsampling and bit expansion algorithms to support high-resolution audio. Denon claims the resulting reproduction is highly detailed, free of interference, richly expressive in the low range and highly faithful to the original sound.

The DAC in the Denon DCD-1700NE can decode lossless ALAC, FLAC and WAV files up to 24-bit/192kHz, as well as 2.8MHz and 5.6MHz DSD tracks (audiophile SACD format).

To accurately synchronize digital circuits, the DAC Master Clock, mounted next to the DAC to suppress jitter and ensure accurate conversion, treats the DAC as the master clock signal.

The master clock generator is the benchmark for semiconductor performance and optimizes the performance of digital audio circuits. Two built-in clock generators reduce phase noise, each of them responsible for the sampling frequency (44.1 kHz and 48 kHz).

The DCD-1700NE features a premium SVH (Suppress Vibration Hybrid) mechanism, as well as compacted signal paths and minimized circuitry to prevent excess noise and maintain sound quality.

The SVH bootloader’s hybrid design is said to ensure drive stability, allowing for accurate signal decoding and reading. In addition, Denon claims that the mechanism’s low center of gravity suppresses vibration inside and outside the structure. As a result, operations associated with servos are reduced to a minimum. Additionally, reducing unnecessary controls and current consumption allows digital signals to be read from the disk with optimal accuracy.

The new disc player features a Pure Direct mode that promises clear, detailed and accurate sound reproduction.
