Goldmund Telos 670 Class AB Amplifier with Digital and Analog Inputs

The Telos 670 from Swiss manufacturer Goldmund is a successor to the Telos 690. Goldmund touts the Telos 670 as aimed at “demanding listeners looking for fewer audio components without sacrificing sound quality.” The Telos 670 operates in Class AB and can deliver 250 watts per channel into eight ohms.

Goldmund Telos 670: Self-developed amplification technology

The Telos 670 features Goldmund’s proprietary “Telos” amplification technology, with a Class AB circuit designed to achieve wide bandwidth and extremely low distortion, with sufficient power to effortlessly drive passive loudspeakers. The designers further claim that this new design delivers pure, uncompromising musical reproduction, even at the most demanding power levels, and that listeners can expect excellent dynamics, timing, and spatial accuracy, as well as stunning bass precision. Goldmund attributes this latter achievement to the Telos 670’s lowered output impedance, which improves micro-dynamics and prevents woofer overshoot, resulting in tighter, more defined bass.

Goldmund Telos 670: analog and digital connections

The Telos 670 features three digital inputs—one optical, one coaxial RCA, and one USB-B—and five RCA line inputs. The Telos 670’s digital module can process PCM files up to 32-bit/384 kHz resolution and DSD up to DSD128.

The Telos 670’s seamless aluminum enclosure measures 16 x 44 x 39 centimeters (H x W x D) and is designed to provide electromagnetic shielding, protecting internal components. The 10- and 30-millimeter thick panels ensure absolute thermal stability without the need for active cooling.

The Swiss company claims that the mass-optimized structure, along with the cabinet’s conical feet, provides stability while simultaneously directing vibrations away from the internal electronics, thus maintaining sound clarity across all frequencies.

Goldmund Telos 670: price and delivery information

The Goldmund Telos 670 is now available in a microblasted gray or optional black finish. Pricing information is yet to be announced.
