Topping has introduced the DX5 Lite , a DAC and headphone amplifier with an exceptional concept and modern design . At its heart is a digital-to-analog conversion stage carried out by a pair of ESS ES9068ES DACs, as well as an excellent headphone amplifier section based on NFCA circuitry.
The DX5 Lite’s USB input uses the XMOS XU216 interface. This provides broad compatibility with the vast majority of devices, as well as support for high sample rates, up to 32-bit 768 kHz PCM and native DSD512.
The DX5 Lite achieves Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification by integrating the QCC5125 Bluetooth receiver chip, which supports high-definition data codecs. Thus, it is compatible with aptX, aptX HD, aptX LL and LDAC protocols, as well as SBC and AAC standards. Moreover, the signal received by the Bluetooth chip is decoded by a pair of ES9068AS DACs, which are much more powerful than the DAC built into the Bluetooth receiver.
The digital-to-analog conversion stage, assigned to two ESS ES9068AS DAC chips, allows you to reproduce sound of incredible clarity and precision with a THD+N of only 0.00009%, a dynamic range of 128 dB and a noise level below 2 µVrms.
