The Italian company Audia Flight has introduced a top-end optical disc player SACD / CD Audia Flight FLS -20 SACD . The company emphasizes: “Over the decades, Audia Flight has continued to actively develop CD players, accumulating and improving experience with this audio technology. The new FLS-20 SACD player embodies the very essence of a high – end disc player : ultra-high fidelity optical disc reading, precision digital-to-analog conversion, and high-quality audio signal routing to an amplifier. For Audia Flight FLS player The -20 SACD optical disc transport has been designed almost from the ground up to minimize any vibration both inside and outside the case. Vibrations are the biggest enemy of disc players, and the highest sound quality cannot be obtained without complete control over vehicle vibrations. As a result, information is read from the disk with impeccable accuracy .
The Audia Flight FLS-20 SACD is housed in a rugged chassis with a thick aluminum front panel. Digital-to-analog conversion is implemented on two 32-bit Saber ES9038PRO audiophile chips from ESS Technology. The circuit also uses an ultra-low noise clock generator Crystek CCHD-950. The player’s digital circuits are powered by ten low-noise linear power supplies.
The analog part of the Audia Flight FLS-20 SACD is built in a balanced architecture with discrete current feedback and operates in pure class A. The player is equipped with both a balanced analog output on XLR connectors and unbalanced on RCA.
The power supply of the Audia Flight FLS-20 SACD player uses three power toroidal transformers – for the analog part with a power of 80 VA, for the digital subsystem with a power of 85 VA and for the logic control unit with a power of 15 VA. The switching arsenal, in addition to the analog outputs mentioned above, includes four digital inputs (Toslink, AES/EBU, S/PDIF, USB) and four digital outputs (Toslink, AES/EBU, S/PDIF, I2S). There is also a slot for an optional network tape drive module. The novelty is offered in black and silver finishes.
