With amplifiers utilizing Dynamic Audio Amplification technology, the Onkyo TX-NR7100 can deliver up to 220 W of output power. The power amplifiers are crafted using discrete components in a two-stage configuration. Featuring seven HDMI inputs (including one on the front panel) and two outputs supporting 8K video, HDCP2.3, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and eARC, this AV receiver is well-equipped for the latest standards.

The built-in decoder set includes Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, allowing for surround sound systems up to 7.1.2 or 5.1.4 configurations, along with Dirac Live technology for optimal home theater setup. Additionally, the Onkyo TX-NR7100 offers outputs for connecting two subwoofers and a wide range of inputs, including analog and digital connections, as well as an MM-pickup input for vinyl players.
