Audio-Technica has expanded the AT-LP60XBT range with a new teal color option. The refreshed finish brings a brighter look to the company’s fully automatic, Bluetooth-equipped belt-drive turntable while leaving its established feature set intact.
A More Colorful AT-LP60XBT
The teal AT-LP60XBT is designed as a more expressive alternative to the existing black and white versions. Audio-Technica positions the new finish as both an audio component and a visible part of the room, with a color intended to suit bookshelves, sideboards, creative workspaces and other prominent locations.
This is a cosmetic addition to the established AT-LP60XBT platform rather than a ground-up turntable redesign. The teal model, identified as the AT-LP60XBTTL, retains the same emphasis on straightforward operation and flexible connection options. It is aimed at listeners who want to play records without dealing with extensive cartridge alignment or manual tonearm operation.
Fully Automatic Two-Speed Playback
The AT-LP60XBT uses a belt-drive mechanism and supports records at 33 1/3 and 45 rpm. Its fully automatic system handles the basic playback sequence, reducing the number of steps required to start and finish a record. A 45 rpm adapter is included for compatible singles.
Audio-Technica fits the turntable with an anti-resonance aluminum platter. The tonearm base and headshell have also been designed to improve tracking and reduce resonance. A Dual Moving Magnet cartridge is integrated into the tonearm assembly, while the ATN3600LC diamond stylus can be replaced when necessary.
Because the cartridge is already installed, owners do not need to mount one before playing their first record. The package also includes a removable hinged dust cover, allowing the turntable to remain protected when it is not in use.
Bluetooth, aptX and Wired Connections
Wireless connectivity is central to the AT-LP60XBT’s design. The turntable can transmit audio directly to compatible Bluetooth speakers or headphones, including products such as Audio-Technica’s AT-SP3x speakers. It also supports the aptX codec for use with compatible receiving devices.
For a conventional audio system, the turntable provides an analog output and includes a detachable cable with a 3.5 mm connector at one end and dual RCA plugs at the other. This permits a wired connection to an amplifier, receiver or powered speakers.
A switchable phono preamplifier is built in, enabling either phono-level or line-level output. The phono setting can be used with equipment offering a suitable phono input, while the line setting allows connection to standard analog inputs and powered speakers without a separate external phono stage.
Power Supply and Availability
The AT-LP60XBT uses an external power supply that performs AC-to-DC conversion outside the turntable’s enclosure. This arrangement is intended to keep conversion-related electrical noise away from the internal audio signal path.
Audio-Technica says the teal AT-LP60XBTTL is available now. It joins the existing color choices without replacing them, giving buyers another visual option while preserving the automatic operation, Bluetooth transmission and wired compatibility of the wider AT-LP60XBT line.
The teal AT-LP60XBT broadens Audio-Technica’s accessible automatic turntable range with a more distinctive appearance. Its combination of preinstalled cartridge, Bluetooth with aptX, switchable phono stage and two-speed operation remains focused on simple integration with both wireless and traditional audio systems.
