TDM has introduced the Neo Wireless, a convertible audio device designed to work as both wireless headphones and a portable Bluetooth speaker. A rotating mechanism built into the headband lets users move between private listening and shared playback without carrying two separate products.
A rotating design for two listening modes
The Neo Wireless is built around a patented twisting mechanism that changes the orientation of its earcups. Rotating the assembly converts the product from conventional over-ear headphones into a compact speaker, with no separate attachments or additional hardware required.
TDM is positioning the design for travelers, commuters, students and other listeners who regularly alternate between listening alone and sharing music with a small group. Rather than asking users to pack headphones alongside a dedicated wireless speaker, the Neo combines both functions in one 340-gram device.
The headband is adjustable, while the earcups use dual-layer memory-foam cushions covered in soft vegan leather. TDM also says it has optimized the clamping force for headphone use, an important consideration for a design carrying the drivers, amplification and battery hardware needed for both operating modes.

Four drivers handle private and shared playback
Inside the Neo Wireless are four 40mm drivers divided into two pairs. Two face inward and operate when the product is worn as headphones. The other two face outward and become active after the earcups are rotated into speaker mode.
In headphone mode, the inward-facing drivers work with the earcup design to provide passive noise reduction. TDM describes the intended presentation as balanced and clear, although the company has not supplied further acoustic measurements in the available product information.
When the Neo is converted into a speaker, the outward-facing drivers take over. Each side receives 5 watts of power, with TDM targeting enough output for music playback in a small room. The separate driver arrangement means the same transducers do not have to serve both near-ear listening and outward-facing speaker duties.
Bluetooth 6.0, multipoint and physical controls
Wireless connectivity is based on Bluetooth 6.0, with multipoint support allowing the Neo to remain linked to multiple compatible devices. This is intended to make switching between sources more convenient without repeatedly disconnecting and pairing the headphones.
Four physical buttons provide access to power, volume and operating controls. Users can also determine how the Neo responds when its earcups are rotated. Available behaviors include pausing playback, powering down the device or automatically changing between headphone and speaker modes.
TDM is preparing a free companion app for iOS and Android. Planned features include Find My Device, a gaming mode, power-management settings and access to product and warranty information. The app is also expected to provide separate customizable equalizers for headphone and speaker operation, allowing each mode to retain its own sound settings.

Battery life varies significantly by mode
TDM rates the Neo Wireless for more than 200 hours of playback in headphone mode. Speaker operation places greater demands on the internal battery, reducing the stated maximum to 16 hours.
Charging is handled through USB Type-C, with a complete charge expected to take approximately three hours. According to TDM, a five-minute quick charge can provide up to eight hours of headphone playback. The company has not specified an equivalent quick-charge figure for speaker mode.
Shipments are expected to begin around the middle of October. Pre-orders opened earlier, though confirmed regional availability details have not been provided in the supplied information.
The Neo Wireless takes an unusual approach to portable audio by combining dedicated inward- and outward-facing drivers in a single rotating design. Its appeal will depend on whether listeners value the convenience of moving directly from personal playback to shared Bluetooth audio, but the underlying concept clearly addresses situations where carrying two devices would be impractical.
