McIntosh has unveiled the MX200, a cutting-edge 11.2-channel decoder processor designed for home cinema, featuring support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
The MX200 set-top box offers a variety of inputs and outputs, ensuring compatibility with numerous digital sources. Additionally, it supports 4K/120Hz, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+, enhancing the overall viewing experience.
The McIntosh MX200 is designed to accommodate home theater systems ranging from 5.1 to 7.2.4 channels. It features 11 XLR balanced outputs, along with an XLR input, a standard analog RCA input, and a dedicated input for MM turntables due to its integrated phono stage.
Equipped with four HDMI 2.1 inputs and a single HDMI output, the unit offers two independent outputs for subwoofers and supports Dirac Live room correction technology. Internally, it boasts seven high-quality DAC chips, with one dedicated to every two channels.
Additionally, the decoder can be seamlessly integrated into installation systems, as it is compatible with Control4 and Crestron Home. It also includes a specific design for mounting on a scaffold.
The retail price is approximately $8,500.
