Emotiva is a young US company that develops and designs its products (amplifiers, speakers, processors, preamps, etc.) at its facilities in Tennessee. Flagship products such as the new XMC-1 AV processor are manufactured locally in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, while other products are manufactured by the company’s most efficient partners in China and other countries. The Emotiva brand defines one of the best combinations of production quality and price today.

The Emotiva story began with a simple question: “Why don’t we have amazing sound and picture at prices that won’t jeopardize our mortgage?” During the crisis, the price of sound nirvana was beyond the reach of the ordinary buyer. New audiophiles shook their heads and said, “You know, the soundbar and receiver might not be so bad. At least I won’t have to file for divorce.”  At the same time, prices for high-end audio equipment were rising, and Dan Laufman and his team were helping some of the top brands manufacture their products. Dan saw the inefficiency of the system and the ever-increasing prices and decided to do something. The result was a line of products under the Emotiva brand.
