The Czech loudspeaker manufacturer Xavian has launched the floor-standing model La Boema. According to the manufacturer, La Boema is a personal tribute to the Czech Republic and is also an ode to Xavian's thirtieth anniversary.

“La Boema does not impress with special effects, and I am convinced that its magic lies in its extraordinary naturalness,” says Robert Barletta, the man behind Xavian. “The goal was to build a loudspeaker system with a unique concept and sound that would distinguish itself from the run-of-the-mill commercial models flooding the market. I cordially invite you to listen to La Boema and discover for yourself whether this project of mine touches you as well.”

La Boema is easy to install, partly thanks to the sealed enclosure. The somewhat lower sensitivity of 85 dB (2.83 Volts / 1 meter) requires careful amplifier selection—read: some power—but it does not have to be a heavy-duty powerhouse. The manufacturer claims to have used products from Norma Audio and the Levante from Riviera Audio Labs during development.
The loudspeaker has a front panel with a thickness of 57 millimeters, and the weight of a single La Boema is fifty kilograms. The drivers are sourced from the Danish driver manufacturer ScanSpeak. Stainless steel stands with lockable anti-vibration pads from the Slovak company Authentic Audio Image are available at an additional cost.
The La Boema is built exclusively to order. The buyer can choose from exceptional natural veneers, such as Indian rosewood, sapelli pomelé, and ziricote.
