Since the beginning of its illustrious history, Marantz has been dedicated to the mission of delivering music exactly as the artist intended. After many years of research, armed with the latest technology, we have finally been able to solve this problem for portable music file formats.
Introducing the Marantz Consolette, the world’s first limited-edition audiophile-grade docking station to celebrate Marantz’s 60th anniversary.
The Consolette MS7000 audio system from Marantz, in name and design, is reminiscent of the first Consolette model, which was developed and assembled by the company’s founder, Saul Bernard Marantz, exactly 60 years ago. If the first Consolette was supposed to reproduce, as accurately as possible, the capricious recordings of the first long-playing records produced at that time by the American television and radio network Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS), then its modern namesake is designed to work with various digital audio formats, their wireless transmission, and broadcasting.
Most devices are designed to look beautiful only from the front. When developing the Consolette, the engineers sought to create a device whose appearance is beautiful from all angles. The result is a three-dimensional design that looks great from any viewing angle. The all-in-one Marantz MS 7000 Consolette combines signature sound quality, a full range of state-of-the-art features, and luxurious design.
The Marantz MS 7000 features an iPod/iPhone/iPad dock that slides out from the front panel when needed and is completely invisible when not in use. Also, the Marantz MS 7000 Consolette can connect to a computer network via Ethernet and Wi-Fi, and play music files stored on a PC and NAS. For devices running iOS, as well as those using the iTunes software player, direct wireless connection using AirPlay technology is possible. The system plays music files in MP3/AAC/WMA/WAV and FLAC formats. Also, when working on a network, the Marantz MS 7000 Consolette can receive Internet radio. Also on the rear panel of the device there is a USB connector for connecting portable storage devices. You can also connect compatible gadgets to this socket, which will not only transmit a music signal to the system, but also charge the batteries. There is also one line input for any external audio sources.
The device is equipped with a first-class audio system, which was created by the legendary Marantz development engineer Ken Ishiwata. The Marantz MS 7000 Consolette is equipped with two-way stereo acoustics based on two 110 mm diameter bass drivers and patented BMR tweeters. Each speaker is connected to its own Class D amplifier, which significantly expands the dynamic range of sound and reduces distortion. Thanks to the curved front panel, the system creates a wide sound picture in the listening room with an impressive stereo effect.
The Marantz MS 7000 Consolette features luxurious metal and natural wood exterior finishes that look elegant from both the front and rear. On the front panel there is a minimal set of controls, including a ring control, as on top models of Marantz audio equipment, as well as a round OLED display. Additional functions of this device include a clock with an alarm clock and a programmable on-timer. For convenient and visual control of the system, there is special software (iOS or Android)
