Shure Aonic 40 headphones follow the premium Aonic 50, they also support ANC and software equalizer.
With the Aonic 40, the company has achieved even slightly longer battery life, at a price that is approximately one and a half times lower. For materials, Shure chose a combination of aluminum and nylon, revisiting the silver and black or silver-white-brown color schemes of the Aonic 50. The headphones swivel and fold inward for easy storage, making them a convenient travel option.
Shure claims “iconic sound” with customizable EQ via the ShurePlus Play app for Android and iOS. This software will allow you to save the settings you create, as well as choose between three ANC options and adjust the environment mode (surround sound). Shure also says the software features a high-definition music player.
Additionally, Shure touts call quality with dual beamforming microphones. Up to 25 hours of battery life are promised with active noise cancellation enabled – compared to 20 hours on the Aonic 50. Additionally, a fast charging option can provide five hours of use in 15 minutes. Aonic 40 is available in black and white.
