Volti Audio, located in Baxter, Tennessee, has introduced the Lucera speakers, which aim to bridge the gap between the compact Razz and the larger, pricier Rival models. The company anticipates that audiophiles seeking a more engaging experience than the Razz, yet not quite ready to invest in the Rival, will find the Lucera to be an ideal choice.
A standout feature of the Lucera speakers is their impressive sensitivity, rated at 99 dB. This is significantly higher than the typical 86 dB found in similar products, meaning that the Lucera can deliver sound that is nearly twice as loud under comparable conditions. The manufacturer recommends a minimum amplifier power of 8 W per channel, which is sufficient for optimal performance, while the maximum power can reach up to 80 W. The speakers have an impedance of Ohm and can reproduce frequencies ranging from 32 Hz to 20 kHz.
The Lucera speakers are designed as three-way floor-standing units, though they are not particularly tall. They feature a 15-inch woofer housed in a phase-inverter enclosure, a midrange driver with a composite diaphragm situated in a shallow horn with a 2-inch throat, and a horn tweeter utilizing a neodymium magnet system. Custom crossovers, hand-assembled with high-quality components, manage the signal distribution, and the speakers also support bi-wiring.
With dimensions of 102 x 46 x 36 cm and a weight of 50 kg each, the Lucera speakers are available in a range of natural veneer finishes, various wood types, and grill color options.
The retail price for the Volti Audio Lucera speakers is set at $11,750.
