The well-known German manufacturer of tube audio equipment Eternal Arts celebrated its 15th anniversary with the release of the third generation of the OTL Mark III power amplifier . A distinctive feature of the novelty was the absence of output transformers, which is atypical for tube amplifiers.
The original circuitry of the output stages of the Eternal Arts OTL Mark III amplifier , like its predecessors, was developed by Julius Futterman in the middle of the last century. The absence of output transformers, according to the developers, makes it possible to achieve significantly higher pulse accuracy and more accurate reproduction of the waveform of a musical signal. In addition, the advantages of a transformerless output include a wider frequency range.
The pre-amplification of the Eternal Arts OTL Mark III is implemented on the EF184 pentode, the ECC82 double triode acts as a driver lamp, and four EL509 / EL519 pentodes work in the output stage in each channel. At the same time, the amplifier develops 30 watts when operating on a load of 8 ohms and up to 55 watts for 4 ohms.
The Eternal Arts OTL Mark III Power Amplifier is now available for order. The recommended retail price of the amp is 6,500 euros .
