The Romanian company Meze Audio introduced Meze 109 Pro Primal – a special version of the 109 Pro headphones , included in the exclusive Meze Audio Art Gallery collection .
“As residents of Maramures, our philosophy of life is intertwined with the ancient forests that surround us, and we are taught to appreciate and respect woodworking from a very young age. At Primal, we’ve taken this deeply ingrained skill and turned it into a new way of thinking about headphone design.” – noted the company’s founder and leading designer Antonio Meze.
The Meze 109 Pro Primal headphones are handcrafted by Meze Audio craftsmen using centuries of woodworking experience combined with advanced audio technology and eco-friendly design. The walnut earcup frames are groove-by-groove and carefully sanded for maximum smoothness, then finished with a coat of linseed oil. This finishing touch gives the wood a natural matte texture and restores the natural, enchanting color of the wood.
Like all Meze Audio headphones, the Primal is designed according to the principle of “Graba strică treaba” – a Romanian expression that translates to “Haste spoils work”. This principle emphasizes the importance of slowness and the need to pay close attention to detail to achieve exceptional results.
Otherwise, Meze109 Pro Primal inherits all the technologies and solutions used in the base model 109 Pro. The new product is already available for pre-order at a recommended retail price of 999 US dollars / 999 euros / 899 pounds sterling .
