The L70 uses the same NFCA (Nested Feedback Composite Amplifier) module as the A90. Its hybrid voltage/current feedback architecture combined with UHGF (Ultra High Gain Feedback) technology provides superior AC and DC performance, extremely low THD+N and an incredibly high dynamic range of 146 dB. In addition, the L70 has high output current and very low output impedance and noise, allowing it to drive the vast majority of headphones on the market, including the most demanding models.
The Topping L70 provides two levels of gain to suit most different headphone needs.
Single-ended output: low gain: 6.0 dB / high gain: 19.8 dB.
L70 can not only work with headphones, but also be used as a preamplifier. This mode gives you the same performance as using a headphone amplifier, and the 20Ω single-ended and 40Ω balanced output impedance ensures compatibility with many amplifiers. Additionally, the L70 comes with a remote control for convenient operation.
Using the R2R volume control, which consists of a relay and resistor network, the L70 provides precise tuning, high durability and perfect channel balancing. It also includes memory for volume and gain levels according to 8 profiles, which can be customized to suit the connected equipment.
The L70 is compatible with most headphone jacks. It has a built-in 4-pin balanced XLR, a balanced 4.4mm jack and a single-ended 6.35mm jack. The built-in balanced amplifier circuit is suitable for both balanced and single-ended headphones. In addition, the high output voltage and current and low output impedance allow it to accompany sensitive headphones and high-impedance headphones without any problems.
The L70 has a built-in 12-volt trigger with active (trigger output) and passive (trigger input) control. Using a simple 3.5mm jack cable, the Topping L70 can be turned on and off in sync with other equipment that has a 12V trigger interface.
When multiple devices are used together, a ground loop may occur. To solve this problem, the L70 has a GND/LIFT switch. For normal use, just set it to GND. If a ground loop occurs, select LIFT mode to eliminate the ground loop.
