A new product in the range of the Swedish company Primare is the eight-channel amplifier A35.8. The A35.8 is Primare’s most powerful multi-channel amplifier: 150 W/8 Ohm, 300 W/4 Ohm, 400 W/2 Ohm. Total power in stereo bi-amping configuration in fully bridged mode is 1500 W. Balanced RCA and XLR inputs are provided for each of the eight channels.
The power supply used in the Primare A35.8 is the largest unit Primare engineers have ever designed. Thanks to the original circuitry, power is evenly distributed from the power source to the amplifier modules, and the path of input and output signals is as short as possible.
Both the amplifier modules and the input and output stages are reliably isolated. Soft Clipping technology reduces stress on speaker systems and increases natural sound. LED indicators located on the front of the amplifier signal critical situations if they occur: overheating of the amplifier module or power supply.
Depending on the tasks at hand, Primare recommends using the new A35.8 alone or in conjunction with the proprietary A35.2 stereo amplifier, expanding the possibilities of building systems of a wide variety of configurations, from basic 5.1 and 7.1 to 7.1.4, 9.1.6 or 13.1 Auro-3D. The user experiences naturally fast, clear and dynamic sound across an ultra-wide frequency range, with exceptional headroom and ultra-low noise.
