Kondo Audio Note Japan has introduced the G 700 I preamplifier , which claims to combine the rich and mature sound of the G-70 with the expressive power of the flagship G-1000 preamp . Kondo Audio Note Japan emphasizes that the G700I is not a simplified version of the G-1000 or an improvement on the G-70, but it has the potential to correspond to the highest class.
The preamp uses a newly developed 50-step volume control unit using MELF resistors specifically selected from listening sessions. By mounting them on a high quality rotary switch and housing them in a copper housing, they achieve exceptionally low noise and distortion levels.
The power supply of the Kondo Audio Note Japan G700I preamplifier is made in a separate housing to minimize the influence of vibrations and electromagnetic interference on signal circuits. Decoupling capacitors are placed near the amplifier module to minimize signal loops. The component’s circuitry uses in-house components, such as pure silver foil capacitors, and each element is handcrafted. The G700I’s body is made of pure copper, the RCA connectors are silver-palladium plated, and the tube sockets are made of zirconium.
