Denon HEOS Amp HS2 is designed for use as an amplifier in a HEOS multiroom system, capable of driving any pair of speakers, providing the same independence from wires. Featuring advanced Class D digital amplification, the HEOS Amp HS2 delivers 100W of amplification power per channel with low distortion and high current output. Compatible with low impedance speaker systems. 2-channel Class D digital amplifier provides high efficiency, low distortion and wide dynamic range.
HEOS Amp HS2 is made in a small, pleasant-looking case with a simple design and high-quality external finishing. On the front panel of the amplifier with an original diagonal break there is nothing but an LED that illuminates its lower part in a different color depending on the operating mode of the device. Using the three buttons located in the assembly, you can adjust the volume or mute the sound.
Supports compressed MP3 files, WMA files (including purchased Windows Media Player files downloaded from the Internet), AAC (MPEG4 standard), FLAC (lossless) files, and uncompressed WAV files. Native support for 44.1 kHz sampling rate. Support for files with sampling rates of 48 and 32 kHz is possible. Full control of the HEOS Amp HS2, like any other device in the Heos system, is possible using a special mobile application available for iOS and Android. In terms of its network capabilities, the device corresponds to the rest of the Heos components of the updated HS2 series – it plays lossless and High-Res files, including PCM (WAV and FLAC) with parameters up to 24 bit / 192 kHz, and DSD files.
The streamer connects to the local network via Wi-Fi or via a LAN port. Playback of MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC and FLAC files is available with a maximum resolution of 16 bits/48 kHz. Web services supported are Rhapsody, Pandora, Spotify and TuneIn.
Rear panel inputs: linear RCA, 3.5 mm AUX for MP3 player, optical, LAN interface (Network) and USB for external drives, which can also charge the batteries of connected USB devices. There is an RCA connector for the subwoofer. There are 2 pairs of screw terminals installed for the speakers. On the back panel of the case there is a button for quick Wi-Fi pairing and a status indicator for this connection.
Despite its small size, Denon HEOS Amp HS2 provides powerful sound with minimal distortion and a wide dynamic range. The model is capable of filling even spacious rooms with high-quality surround sound. The device easily integrates into the comprehensive HEOS wireless system to organize an effective multi-room installation.
