Canadian audio manufacturer Bryston has announced a new integrated amplifier called the Bi-200. The new Bi-200 is the successor to the very successful B135. Compared to the B135, the Bi-200 has more power and a fully balanced construction and is therefore, according to the manufacturer, even quieter, more transparent and more dynamic.
Bryston Bi-200
The Bryston integrated Bi-200 is actually a combination of the existing BP-19 preamplifier and 3B Cubed power amplifier in a single chassis. This saves surface area or height in an audio cabinet and a connection cable between the preamplifier and power amplifier can be omitted. The Bi-200 can deliver 200 watts per channel into eight ohms. The music signal comes in via four cinch inputs and two XLR inputs. There are also fixed and variable line outputs (cinch and XLR) for connecting a separate power amplifier or subwoofer.
Need a turntable input? Bryston offers their legendary and evolved BP-3 MM phono stage as an option for the Bi-200. For an ultimate black background without any noise, minuscule distortion and a huge reserve, this internal phono stage delivers a completely neutral, highly detailed presentation with enough warmth for gripping musicality.
The Bryston Bi-200 integrated amplifier is available in 17-inch and 19-inch versions in silver and black.
Prices:
Bryston Bi-200 (without phono stage): $9.750
Bryston Bi-200MM (with MM phono stage): $10.750
