The Arcam PA720 model operates in class G, which combines the advantages of class A, associated with high sound quality, and the advantages of class AB (high power and high efficiency). The circuitry of such a terminal makes it possible to satisfy the power requirements of the amplifier output stages in real time and consume exactly the amount of electrical energy that is required at the moment. As a result, it is possible to reduce energy costs and increase efficiency. To implement this technology, switchable power buses are used. Moreover, according to the manufacturer, up to a power rating of 20 W, the amplifier operates in pure class A.

The Arcam PA720 circuits are equipped with high-class components, and the power supply is equipped with a massive toroidal transformer. The model consumes a maximum power of one and a half kilowatts and produces 100 W for each of the seven channels into a load of 8 ohms. This ensures high sound quality with excellent detail, and the level of amplifier distortion tends to zero.

The Arcam PA720 seven-channel power amplifier impresses with its sleek, monumental design in an industrial style. The overall eighteen-kilogram body received reliable damping. On its rear side there are seven input and a similar number of output RCA connectors. The unbalanced inputs are duplicated by an equal number of balanced XLR inputs, and there’s a slide switch to select between RCA and XLR connections.

The device is equipped with LAN and RS-232 interfaces, which allow you to integrate the amplifier into a home automation system (Crestron, etc.) or into a local network for the purpose of monitoring and IP control. There are two trigger connectors (input/output) and a USB port on board, which is used for updating software and USB charging of various portable devices. Seven pairs of high-quality screw terminals are used to connect the speakers. The Arcam PA720 multi-channel terminal is an ideal solution for working as part of a powerful modern cinema system.
