Arcam A5: Class D integrated amplifier

Arcam A5 – integrated amplifier in class D

Arcam has launched a new line of integrated amplifiers – in addition to the updated design (the devices have clearly become more severe in appearance), they use the latest generation of D-class amplifier assemblies.

The youngest in the line, Arcam A5, boasts 2 x 50 W of power into a load of 8 ohms, weighs 8 kg and has “full stuffing” in terms of filling. There is a headphone amplifier, a MM phono stage, and a 24/192 DAC with a Qualcomm AptX Adaptive Bluetooth streamer. The harmonic distortion of the model does not exceed 0.003%, the signal-to-noise ratio reaches 106 dB, and the frequency response within the range of 20 – 20,000 Hz does not exceed an error of 0.2 dB.
