Rega has introduced the Replay, an entry-level turntable developed to make vinyl playback accessible to users with little or no experience of cartridge alignment and tonearm setup. The British manufacturer says the model took around three years to develop and is hand-assembled in the UK.
An Entry Point to Rega Turntables
The Replay is positioned as a straightforward introduction to analog playback. Rega’s engineering brief focused on creating an accessible turntable that could be put into service without specialist knowledge or a lengthy adjustment process.
Although designed for beginners, the Replay follows the company’s established approach to manufacturing. Each unit is assembled by hand in the UK, rather than being presented as a simplified product that requires substantial setup by the buyer.

Rega describes the turntable’s intended sound as detailed and dynamic. No listening comparisons or additional performance measurements have been provided, but the Replay’s main practical distinction is clear: it is designed to reduce the number of steps between opening the box and playing a record.
RB110 Tonearm Arrives Factory Prepared
The Replay uses Rega’s RB110 tonearm, which is also assembled by hand. It is supplied with a 111-gram counterweight, giving the arm the hardware required for its preconfigured cartridge installation.
Crucially for first-time turntable owners, users do not need to balance the tonearm themselves before playback. The cartridge is installed and adjusted at the factory, removing a procedure that can be unfamiliar to newcomers and that normally requires careful attention.

The supplied counterweight still needs to be fitted, but the underlying tonearm and cartridge setup has already been completed. This factory preparation is central to the Replay’s beginner-friendly positioning and should help prevent uncertainty over balancing and initial adjustment.
Rega Carbon MM Cartridge Included
Rega fits the Replay with its Carbon moving-magnet cartridge. The cartridge is aligned at the factory, so buyers are not expected to carry out their own installation or geometric adjustment before using the turntable.
The Carbon cartridge also has a replaceable stylus. This allows the stylus to be renewed when necessary without requiring replacement of the complete cartridge body, while retaining the Replay’s preconfigured arrangement.
Because the Replay uses a moving-magnet cartridge, it must be connected to a compatible phono stage. That can be a phono input built into an amplifier or a separate external phono preamplifier placed between the turntable and the rest of the audio system.

Setup Designed to Take Less Than a Minute
Rega says the Replay can be prepared for playback in under a minute. The stated procedure involves installing the counterweight, connecting the turntable to an amplifier with a suitable phono input or to an external phono stage, removing the stylus guard and placing a record on the platter.
This streamlined process avoids manual tonearm balancing and cartridge alignment, two tasks that can make a conventional turntable seem complicated to an inexperienced owner. The Replay therefore targets listeners who want a dedicated record player but prefer a factory-prepared package.
Rega is also providing a lifetime warranty for the new turntable. The supplied information does not detail its specific terms or coverage, but the warranty complements the Replay’s emphasis on long-term, approachable ownership. Pricing and availability details have not been announced.
With its hand-assembled RB110 tonearm, pre-aligned Rega Carbon MM cartridge and simplified startup procedure, the Replay is intended to offer a less intimidating route into vinyl playback while maintaining Rega’s UK production approach.
