The DALI SONIK 3 is one of those compact speakers that instantly makes you question why you’d ever need anything bigger. Despite its relatively small footprint, it delivers a sound that feels full, confident, and genuinely hi-fi—whether you’re watching a blockbuster movie, streaming a live concert, or settling into a quiet jazz session late at night.

Put the SONIK 3 on a shelf or a proper stand, and it has no trouble filling a normal living room with rich, engaging sound. There’s real weight in the bass, a clear and open midrange, and a sense of detail that makes music and dialogue feel alive rather than flat or compressed. It’s the kind of speaker that sounds equally convincing at low late-night volumes and when you turn things up a bit.
For TV and home cinema use, the SONIK 3 makes a particularly strong case for ditching the soundbar. Pair it with a compact HDMI-equipped amplifier—something from Bluesound or Argon Audio, for example—and you get TV sound that’s deeper, wider, and far more natural than any one-box solution. Voices are clearer, effects have real punch, and music in films finally sounds like music. If aesthetics matter, the speakers and electronics can even be hidden behind fabric doors in suitable furniture, without killing the sound.

Although the SONIK 3 sits in an affordable part of the market, it borrows heavily from DALI’s more ambitious designs. The newly developed 7-inch bass/midrange driver comes straight from the larger SONIK floorstanders and uses DALI’s patented SMC magnet system together with the distinctive Clarity Cone diaphragm. In practice, this means lower distortion, cleaner mids, and consistent performance even when you push the volume.
The 29 mm ultra-light soft dome tweeter is equally serious. It blends smoothly with the midrange, reaches high without sounding sharp, and spreads sound evenly across the room. You don’t have to sit perfectly centered to enjoy a proper stereo image—everyone on the sofa gets a good seat.

If your room is large, or you simply want more physical impact down low, the SONIK 3 is easy to integrate with a subwoofer. DALI’s own subs are an obvious match, but the speaker itself already delivers more bass than you might expect from a compact cabinet.
SONIK: a new benchmark in affordable hi-fi
The SONIK series replaces the hugely popular OBERON range, and the ambition is obvious. DALI hasn’t just refreshed the design—they’ve raised the bar for what you can expect at this price. The use of Clarity Cone technology, inspired by the flagship DALI KORE, is a big deal in this class, and even the visual design has been upgraded with new finishes, refined details, and elegant fabric grilles.
All drivers are developed specifically for the SONIK series and hand-assembled in DALI’s own factory. The cabinets are solid MDF constructions, carefully braced and damped to eliminate unwanted resonances. Dual Flare reflex ports are positioned directly behind the woofers, ensuring tight timing and natural bass extension without boom or lag.
Another benefit of DALI’s SMC-based motor system is the speaker’s friendly impedance behavior. In plain terms, the SONIK 3 is easy to drive. You don’t need an exotic amplifier to get great sound—it performs beautifully with sensible, real-world electronics, and simply scales up as the rest of the system improves.

Small speaker, big personality
The DALI SONIK 3 is proof that compact speakers don’t have to sound small. It’s a versatile, well-built, and genuinely musical speaker that works just as well for music as it does for TV and movies. Whether it’s your main stereo system, a stylish living-room setup, or the front end of a compact home cinema, the SONIK 3 delivers real hi-fi enjoyment without unnecessary complexity—or cost.
