The French company La Boite Concept has released a new model of the original music center in the form of a desk/computer desk called LX Studio .
The frame and legs of the table are made of solid oak, the tabletop and parts of the body containing electronic components are made of high-density fiberboard (HDF). The front grille is made of steel. With overall dimensions of 1150 x 800 x 620 mm, this unusual desk weighs 60 kg .
The electronic part includes 2.1 speaker systems with active amplification in class D and a slotted bass reflex. The front panel features midrange drivers with woven glass fiber cones, while the Siare waveguide tweeters are located on the tabletop and covered by a metal grille. The bass driver with a cellulose cone is hidden under the tabletop. The power of the built-in amplifiers is distributed as follows – 90 Watts for the bass driver, 25 Watts for each mid-frequency driver and 20 Watts for each tweeter. The model also has a Bluetooth adapter version 4.2 and a DAC built on a chip from Wolfson.
On the right side of the table with a lifting lid, the manufacturer installs a vinyl player of its own design with an aluminum tonearm, an Ortofon OM 10 head and support for speeds of 33.3 and 45 rpm. There is also the option to buy a model without a turntable if you want to install your favorite player in it. True, it should weigh no more than 7 kg and be of a certain size.
The La Boite Concept LX Studio music center is sold on the European market for 6,490 euros for the version without a turntable and 6,990 euros for the complete set.
