Wilson Audio has unveiled a new flagship loudspeaker. It is a five-way floor-standing loudspeaker with a height of approximately 212 centimeters. This loudspeaker can only be described in a series of superlatives.
Non-plus-ultra flagship floorstanding speaker

The Wilson Audio Autobiography is a five-way floorstanding loudspeaker positioned at the top end of the market. With this, the new flagship positions itself above the WAMM Master Chronosonic and the Chronosonic XVX , and directly at the top of the high-end market.

The Autobiography is a five-way floorstanding loudspeaker in an M(MTM)M configuration, where each driver is specifically designed for this system. A total of eight drivers are used. The vertical arrangement places a 7-inch PentaMag midrange driver at the top and bottom of the speaker cabinet, with a crescent-shaped symmetrical MTM arrangement in between, consisting of two 2-inch midrange drivers flanking a forward-facing CSLS tweeter. The low frequencies are reproduced by two different woofers, a 12-inch and a 15-inch unit, which were developed in parallel to function as a single unit.
A rear-facing ambient tweeter completes the speaker setup. We have not yet received any technical specifications, but we can assume a wide frequency range. A subwoofer or super-tweeter will surely not be necessary.
Every driver is new. The Convergent Synergy Laser Sintered (CSLS) front tweeter is the latest evolution of Wilson’s long-standing Convergent Synergy platform, featuring a redesigned rear wave chamber intended to lower the noise floor. According to the manufacturer, the 2-inch Midband Integration Drivers (2″ MID) represent a new class of drivers, positioned to bridge the speed of the tweeter and the scale of the larger midrange drivers. The 7-inch PentaMag midrange goes from four to five AlNiCo magnets, which, according to the Wilson Audio design team, provides greater motor strength and improved linearity under load. The rear-facing tweeter utilizes an aerospace-grade inverted carbon fiber dome, operates from 6 kHz to 22 kHz, and offers attenuation of 0 dB to -40 dB for room tuning.

Mechanical time synchronization is provided by an entirely new module alignment system, which, according to Wilson, surpasses the time precision of both the WAMM Master Chronosonic and the Chronosonic XVX. A tool-free cross-load flow port enables users to switch between forward and backward sound playback, allowing the interaction of low frequencies with the room to be adjusted by approximately 1.5 dB in the frequency range of 10 Hz to 130 Hz.
The crossovers are hand-built point-to-point without printed circuit boards, using copper variants of Wilson's AudioCapX-WA capacitors and proprietary Rel-Cap components finished to within 0.2 percent of the specifications.
2.12 meters tall and equipped with proven proprietary technology
In its highest position, the Autobiography is approximately 2,120 millimeters tall, making it shorter than the WAMM Master Chronosonic but taller than the Chronosonic XVX. The construction combines Wilson's proprietary H-, V-, and X-Material phenolic composites with carbon fiber, aerospace-grade aluminum, stainless steel, copper, and gold, and the company's award-winning acoustic diodes are included as standard.

The Autobiography sits above the existing V-series. It is Wilson's first completely new flagship since the passing of founder David A. Wilson in 2018, and the first model from current co-president Daryl Wilson positioned above the Chronosonic XVX.
