The Fyne Audio F500SP bookshelf speakers have inherited the F700 from the older line. However, the F500SP has joined the Special Production line and now includes three models. The previous two were floor standing: F502SP and F501SP.

From 700 speakers, the novelty received an inch magnesium tweeter, which is installed in a specially designed waveguide. The 15 cm IsoFlare midrange was also borrowed from the F700 – you can see the external suspension with “notches” FyneFlute in it.

The F500SP is a bass reflex acoustics, but the port used here is the BassTrax system, which forms a circular directivity from the nozzle working downward. Accuracy of sound is increased by an aluminum plate, which at the same time became the base of the speaker.

The components and circuitry of the F500SP crossover are also partially taken from the F700 – these are coils and polypropylene capacitors and even silver-plated Van Den Hul Matched Crystal wiring. The novelty provides for a band-by-band connection with four speaker cable terminals. There is also a fifth terminal on the rear wall of the acoustics – ground.

The company claims the F500SP is personally customized by the brand’s CTO, Dr. Paul Mills. The speakers are handcrafted in Glasgow, Scotland and come in standard black or white finishes. There is also a premium option – varnished walnut veneer. The F500SP will go on sale in September.

The Fyne Audio F500SP will cost £ 1,300 per pair in the UK. Walnut veneer comes with an additional £ 200, and the optional FS6 stands will cost another £ 500.
