SMSL has released a new model of compact integrated amplifier AL200 , equipped with a DAC unit and a wireless adapter .
The power amplifier operates in class D, it is built on the MA5332MS assembly from Infineon , providing output power up to 85 Watts at 8 Ohms and 165 Watts at 4 Ohms. The DAC block is made on a CS43131 chip from Cirrus Logic , working with a PCM stream of 32 bits / 384 kHz and DSD256. To feed an analog signal to the amplifier, there are a pair of RCA connectors on the rear panel, while a digital signal is supplied through the USB-C port, as well as coaxial and optical inputs.
The front panel contains a volume control, an input selector, a monochrome display, and a 6.35mm headphone output . The model has a built-in equalizer with seven operating modes, including a tone block for high and low frequencies, as well as five preset curves. A small remote control is included in the package. The amplifier weighs 1.78 kg.
