The Audio-GD LP-1 MC is a high-performance RIAA phono amplifier compatible with MC-cell turntables that features a thoughtful design that corrects the shortcomings common to many preamps of this type. Here, a low-pass filter (75uS) at the input provides a more linear response from 1 kHz to 20 kHz.
All of the LP-1 MC’s circuitry is designed to provide smooth, accurate sound reproduction. This includes a regenerative power supply consisting of 4 Class A power supplies, ACSS circuitry and quality components such as 2SK170 FETs in the input and output buffers.
The regenerative power supply can block most power line interference, providing a clean and stable signal for audio circuits. For this purpose, the MK LP-1 circuit uses regenerative transformers, class A power supplies, a wave generator and amplification amplifiers. Additionally, each audio circuit has its own power supply.
