FiiO has launched the SR1 audio streamer with support for Roon, DLNA and AirPlay.
Due to the popularity of music streaming, FiiO has developed music players with powerful streaming function, including M11S, M11 Plus and M17, portable DAC/amplifiers which are commonly used to connect with mobile phones, USB audio adapters, Bluetooth DAC/amplifiers, etc. Moreover, there are desktop DACs/Amplifiers designed to work with computers, and the all-in-one R7 smart streaming desktop HiFi center, transmitter/decoder/amplifier/preamp, designed based on the open Android system.
At the same time, when talking to consumers, we found that many of them have multiple audio devices with excellent sound quality. However, these devices do not have streaming media feature as they were developed earlier.
Then we came up with a product concept – a music streaming receiver. It will feature wired 2.4G WiFi and LAN ports and will be able to receive audio signals coming from devices such as mobile phones via DLNA and AirPlay. More importantly, it will support Roon Ready. Once the signal is received, the device can transmit the decoded PCM/DSD signal via optical, coaxial or USB output to a DAC/amplifier, AV amplifier, DAC, powered speakers or other older devices that support digital audio input but do not have streaming functionality, giving them a new life to keep up with fashion.
Moreover, this product will have a good design and easy operation, as well as a user-friendly price. Especially for Roon users, this may be the most budget-friendly Roon Ready device yet.
