PreSonus has announced the expansion of its Eris Pro line of professional studio monitors, introduced last September. The new Eris Pro 4 model is a compact solution that can work both as a stand-alone monitoring system and as an addition to an existing setup.

PreSonus Eris Pro 4
According to the company, despite its reduced size, the Eris Pro 4 uses the same technologies as the larger models in the series. Like the Eris Pro 6 and Eris Pro 8, the device relies on a single point source design, providing a wide listening point, accurate stereo imaging and phase locking.
The manufacturer notes that the compact model is equally well suited for mixing music in stereo and for working with surround and spatial sound. Due to its smaller size, users will be able to use the monitor in small home, semi-professional and professional studios.
The monitors feature a 4.5″ woven composite woofer and an ultra-light 1″ tweeter. The latter is made of silk, has a dome shape and is installed in the center of the front panel. The low frequency system port is located at the front.

The acoustics rely on a two-way Class AB amplifier, providing 80 W of power: 45 W for the low-frequency driver and 35 W for the high-frequency driver. According to the company, the model reproduces frequencies in the range from 55 to 20,000 Hz, and the crossover frequency is located at around 3400 Hz.
To connect the Eris Pro 4, balanced XLR and TRS inputs are provided, as well as an unbalanced RCA input. The latter will be useful for working in a DJ setup or home theater, PreSonus noted. On the rear panel of the monitor there is a low-cut filter switch (80 Hz, 100 Hz) and a three-position Acoustic Space switch, designed to correct the sound for the characteristics of the room.
The monitor cabinet received a set of mounts for installation on walls or ceilings. The mounts will be useful when integrating compact acoustics into existing multi-channel monitoring systems, the manufacturer noted. At the same time, no one prohibits the use of 4-inch acoustics in a more traditional format, placing it on a table or stands.

Sales of PreSonus Eris Pro 4 will begin in February 2024, the presentation of the model will take place at the NAMM 2024 exhibition , which will be held from January 25 to 28 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, USA.
The cost of the monitors has not yet been announced, but it is known that the model will be sold individually. It is expected that the price tag for compact acoustics will be set at $350-400. You can get more details about the monitors on the official PreSonus website.
