KEF has launched the Coda W, an active master/slave speaker system with wireless connectivity in the form of Bluetooth 5.4 with aptX Lossless, and wired connectivity in the form of HDMI ARC, USB-C, an optical input, an RCA line-level input and a turntable input for one of the best record players.
KEF Coda W: active version of classic passive model

The original KEF Coda is said to have contributed to the company’s reputation as an audio innovator, and the new Coda W promises to combine the English loudspeaker brand’s audio precision with thoughtful, intuitive operation and flexibility.

The two-way speakers deliver a combined 200 watts of power (100 watts each), with each speaker benefiting from dedicated amplifiers for the tweeter and woofer. The woofer and tweeter are concentrically mounted, using a 5.25-inch 12th generation Uni-Q array with the tweeter in the acoustic center of the woofer. This approach approximates a single point source, resulting in even dispersion throughout the room and a wide sweet spot. This is achieved through KEF’s Music Integrity Engine digital signal processing.
Thanks to Bluetooth 5.4 and aptX Adaptive, the Coda W supports full CD-quality wireless streaming (16-bit/44.1kHz), with higher resolution available via the USB-C input. The Coda W also features a subwoofer output for larger rooms or home cinema setups requiring more bass. This output is compatible with KEF’s wireless KW1 subwoofer adapter kit for a cable-free connection.
The speakers are connected together with a supplied three-meter cable. An eight-meter cable is optionally available. The Coda W can also be combined with KEF’s SQ1 floor stands, which are available as an option.

The KEF Coda W is available in Vintage Burgundy, Nickel Grey, Moss Green, Midnight Blue and Dark Titanium finishes and costs just under €900 per pair.
