TEAC expands its turntable lineup with a visually striking limited edition of the Teac TN-400BTX, blending classic analog engineering with modern wireless functionality.

Analog heritage

The TN-400BTX is built around a traditional belt-drive system, engineered for stable rotation and low mechanical noise. It features a high-mass, cast aluminum platter that increases rotational inertia, helping maintain consistent speed and minimize wow and flutter.

An S-shaped, statically balanced tonearm ensures accurate tracking across the record surface, while the factory-mounted Audio-Technica AT95E cartridge allows for immediate playback out of the box. This combination reflects TEAC’s continued focus on accessible high-fidelity performance without unnecessary complexity.

While rooted in analog tradition, the TN-400BTX is engineered for integration into modern audio environments. A built-in phono stage—switchable for use with external preamps—enables direct connection to active loudspeakers or integrated amplifiers.

Built-in Bluetooth with aptX Adaptive allows the Teac TN-400BTX to stream vinyl to wireless headphones and speakers.

Wireless functionality is equally central to its appeal. With support for Bluetooth transmission and the aptX Adaptive codec, the turntable can stream vinyl playback directly to compatible headphones or speakers with improved efficiency and reduced latency. The system is capable of storing up to eight paired devices, allowing seamless switching between listening setups.

Limited edition finish: Turquoise Blue

Previously offered in a classic walnut veneer, the TN-400BTX now appears in a limited-edition TN-400BTX/TB variant. This version introduces a high-gloss Turquoise Blue lacquer finish, adding a contemporary visual identity to an otherwise traditionally styled component.

The pre-installed Audio-Technica AT95E ensures the turntable is ready for high-quality vinyl playback straight out of the box.

According to TEAC, the finish is intended to complement the product’s engineering with a more expressive aesthetic—positioning the turntable as both a functional audio device and a design object within the listening space.

A balanced proposition

With the TN-400BTX/TB, TEAC continues to bridge the gap between analog purism and modern convenience. The result is a turntable that respects the fundamentals of vinyl playback while adapting to the expectations of today’s listeners—both in performance and in form.
