The Burson Audio Conductor 3X GT , a combination DAC and headphone amplifier, takes another step forward in Burson’s unique audio quality with a new output stage for dual ES9038 digital converters. A new feedback-based gain control allows this GT to reach a maximum of 10W of power on the XLR headphone output while still accommodating a large number of headphones. With so many features and enhancements, the Conductor 3X GT is the perfect ally for immersive listening.
Single Output Circuit
The Conductor 3X GT uses an output stage designed specifically for this device and therefore differs from the typical circuits of most DACs on the market. This allows the Burson DAC to utilize the wide bandwidth of the Vivid PDU. Combined with the proprietary Max Current power supply included with the unit, the 3X GT delivers a unique audio signature with an extremely high level of detail.
Advanced Digital Stage
The Conductor 3X GT digital interface has a perfectly optimized design, from the XMOS USB receiver to the Qualcomm Bluetooth module. Thanks to Thesycon’s custom driver, the USB receiver has unrivaled processing power and accuracy, easily transmitting DSD512 and 32-bit 768 kHz PCM audio signals. The Qualcomm CSR8675 Bluetooth receiver supports aptX HD and LDAC high-definition transmission codecs. It takes Bluetooth playback beyond CD quality and takes ease of use to the highest level.
In addition, the all-new OLED display and neat interface provide an intuitive user experience. Its solid red aluminum knob provides delicate and precise volume control.
Larger Power Supply
The heart of the Conductor 3X GT is 5 sets of Burson Max Current power supplies. These MCPS are pushed to their limits to provide powerful and responsive amplification. The heat generated by components is effectively dissipated thanks to an optimized chassis and integrated active cooling with an extremely quiet Noctua fan.
Differential Audio Circuits
Vivid V6 discrete power supplies have an excellent reputation for outstanding performance. The Conductor 3X GT uses six Vivid PDUs in its fully differential output stage, resulting in incredible transparency.
