ATC unveils new C4 Sub Mk 2 subwoofer priced at $5,999

ATC has announced the release of a subwoofer capable of reproducing sound frequencies inaccessible to the human ear (more than 2 Hz). Called the C4 Sub Mk 2 and priced at $5,999, the new product is a powerful, low-distortion unit that, thanks to improved driver engineering and slightly larger cabinet volume, provides extended low-frequency response without the use of electronic equalization. This reduces phase shifts and group delay, simplifying acoustic integration.

Pasted 2

The subwoofer is equipped with a 12-inch driver with its own model number SS75-314SC and a 300-watt Class AB amplifier designed to reproduce the lowest four octaves of the audio spectrum. The driver features a long-gap, short-coil design, a powerful 6-inch neodymium magnet system, and a sophisticated cooling system.

An amplifier specially tuned to work with this driver provides minimal sound coloration and quick response to dynamic changes. It features adjustable low-pass filters, a phase switch, a level control, and balanced XLR inputs and outputs.

The subwoofer cabinet is one-inch thick and is available in a variety of finishes, including satin black and white, and four wood veneers. Premium finishes and finishes are also available, including lacquered veneer.

Price: $5,999
