The TEAC CG-10M-X is equipped with a 10 MHz reference OCXO (Oven Crystal Oscillator) for enhanced clock stability. It also includes an OCXO chamber, an output amplifier buffer circuit, and an upgraded power supply circuit. This model is offered in silver or black to complement the design and dimensions of the Reference 500 Series components. The TEAC CG-10M-X is compatible with various DACs, network audio players, and optical disc players, ensuring optimal performance of digital sources.

TEAC has incorporated an “analog thermostat status indicator” on the front panel of the CG-10M-X to assure users of the high stability of the crystal oscillator. The company asserts that the CG-10M-X offers a frequency-temperature response of ±3ppb and a frequency accuracy of ±0.1ppm for the new unit. Additionally, TEAC has redesigned the chassis for the new “X” version, featuring a semi-floating top panel and “Stressless Foot” to deliver a more open, natural, and full-bodied sound, as per the manufacturer’s claims.
